We opened our new purpose built surgery in August 2009. The spacious air-conditioned waiting room has a television and several notice boards and displays with up-to-the-minute topical information.
Our free handout area provides written advice and information on a variety of pet-related topics. In addition, there is a fully stocked retail area with treats, toys and accessories for your pet.
We have 4 veterinary consult rooms and a veterinary nursing room where all our general appointments are seen. All are air-conditioned to provide a comfortable environment for both you and your pet.
In our treatment room we have a large preparation and triage area, a fully equipped x-ray room and two separate fully equipped operating theatres with positive pressure ventilation and piped oxygen.

We have a separate cattery and kennel area to minimise stress; for in-patients complete with 6 spacious walk in kennels with under floor heating to accommodate larger dogs.
For patients that require specialist and barrier nursing we have a separate designated isolation facility.
For our inpatients we have a food preparation area where we are able to provide various diets to suit their nutritional needs.
Our in house laboratory allows us to carry out biochemistry, haematology, microscopy and cytology investigations 24 hours a day for a variety of the species we treat.
Our dental suite contains a specialised dentistry table, ultrasonic scaler, polisher and specific dental instruments needed for a wide range of dental procedures.
At Avondale Veterinary Group we also use a range of small animal referral services such as a dermatologist, cardiologist and orthopaedic specialist.
